Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters is a professional golf video game that includes licenses courses and real events. It was the first officially licensed game to include the Augusta Masters Tournament, which is perhaps one of the most famous events in professional golf. The developers took the time to laser scan the entire course inch by inch in order to give players an unequaled level of realism.
Since the graphics engine is extremely crisp, you might end up believing that you're actually there. There are few golf games that offer this much of an immersive experience, in part because PGA games usually don't have courses that are laid out in this level of detail.
Other events on the tour in the game didn't receive quite the same degree of attention, but they're all worked out in a high level of physical detail as well. Players are free to pick from 20 different real world golfers who actually competed on the PGA tour. They're also able to create their own using a stats-based system. Talented players can create a golfer who actually excels beyond the skill level of those who are included with the game.
Perhaps the most unusual new feature is the ability to play with a caddy, who will provide assistance and advice throughout each hole of the course you're playing on. As gamers become more skilled, they're free to turn off this feature and pick their own clubs however they see fit. You're even able to make unorthodox selections if you so choose, but anyone who pulls out a driver in the rough will get what they deserve.
